We’re expanding our Design team and seeking a Founding Motion Designer to lead how motion enhances usability, feedback, and storytelling within DualEntry’s innovative AI-powered accounting platform.

This role is foundational—you’ll define our motion design strategy, influencing how DualEntry feels and functions for years to come.

Where you'll create impact

As our Founding Motion Designer, you'll:

• Design UI-focused animations and microinteractions for intuitive experiences across web and mobile.

• Create performant, exportable animations using tools like Rive and Lottie for seamless integration.

• Collaborate closely with product designers and engineers to embed motion throughout the product lifecycle—from prototyping to production.

• Develop motion assets for product launches, demos, onboarding flows, and in-product education.

• Establish motion design guidelines and reusable animation libraries to scale across the product ecosystem.

• Stay at the forefront of emerging tools, techniques, and best practices in digital motion design.

• Advocate cross-functionally for motion as a core component of product thinking and visual storytelling.

How you'll work at DualEntry

You’ll partner directly with our founding team, product, engineers, and other designers. You’ll influence our roadmap, shape our brand identity, and create unique, ownable UI moments and viral marketing videos.

What sets you up for success

• 5+ years in Motion Design or demonstrated rapid growth and expertise

• Portfolio showcasing exceptional UI animations, interactive prototypes, and motion systems for digital products

• Proficiency in Rive, Lottie (Bodymovin), Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, and Figma

• Deep understanding of animation principles, interaction behaviors, timing, and easing

• Experience collaborating directly with engineers and integrating animations into development workflows

• Ability to clearly communicate and rationalize motion design decisions

• Track record building or contributing to scalable motion design systems

Benefits

• Base Salary: $40K – $65K

• Equity: $25K+

• Contract type: B2B or regular employment

• Time Off: 15 PTO days + 12 public holidays
