Overview:

• Senior/Staff Backend Engineer building SaaS product

• Bring AI to the outdated accounting industry

• Work with serial founders (sold previous company: $380m raised, $100m ARR, 280+ team)

• Well-funded by the world’s top VC firms and unicorn founders, specialized in AI SaaS

• Base salary range $100,000 to $160,000 USD + significant equity package (~$60k+) + bonus

• Europe - Remote | New York City - HQ

• Our Founders started their previous company after meeting while coding in Computer Science class. With just $2,000 in savings, the two bootstrapped their first company to $25 million in ARR - and profitably - in just 5 years.

• With 75% of CPAs retiring soon and fewer entering the field, accounting needs a modern software solution. The current accounting software is outdated, overpriced, and inefficient, burdened by manual processes.

• DualEntry is the AI-native platform that automates accounting workflows, integrates seamlessly with top-tier software, and supports multi-company and multi-currency operations.

• Built by former CPAs and backed by leaders from NetSuite, Xero, and Sage, our audit-ready platform is designed to transform the future of accounting.

What You Bring:

• 8+ yrs of total backend software development experience incl. testing

• Experience with Python3, any Python Web Framework (Django, FastAPI, Flask)

• Experience deploying AWS (or similar) cloud services

• Experience managing long-term software development complexity in a business-logic heavy project

• Experience launching products from start to finish (incl. building CI/CD)

• Experience with building and testing APIs

• Experience with database management systems, SQL, ORMs, and data migrations

• Experience integrating with various 3rd-party, preventing negative outcomes and managing unexpected risks

• Professional English level (C1), both written and verbal

• Willingness to work hard and ship product at high velocity, especially on Fridays

• Base salary range from $100,000 to $160,000 USD, depending on qualifications and experience
